We Believe that FUN FITNESS is the BEST FITNESS!
Why CF Fitness
Where does CF Fitness fit into your curriculum?
We at CF Fitness believe that it is of the upmost importance to have positive teachers,
supervisors, and/or mentors to guide our kids throughout the entire school day. What we
mean by that is: We don’t want to limit positive peer interaction to only classrooms but
expand it out to the lunchrooms, school yards, and P.E Classes. Health and positive fitness
regiments are extremely important in our developing youth today and we strive to ensure that
ALL children receive the opportunity to experience and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
How does CF Fitness create a sense of community and involvement?
We believe that all children have natural leadership qualities and with the proper guidance
and development from our mentors it allows them to channel that energy into a positive light
through maintaining a healthy lifestyle. We at CF Fitness pride ourselves on our community
and form an atmosphere to ensure we involve the children as much as the parents, teachers,
and principals. We always ensure that everyone is in a safe environment as well as a fun one. The kids always feel included and apart of the fun while still maintaining a controlled
curriculum setting to fit in with the theme of being in school. It helps develop a sense of
consistency therefore allowing the kids to better follow routines and makes the transitions
from returning from lunch, recess, P.E flow smoother in the classroom.
Why is having Mentors an important factor?
We believe there is a great amount of value in having our Mentors positively interacting
directly with the children. Our Mentors are not here to yell fitness commands or stand over
the kids; that serves as the complete opposite of what CF Fitness stands for. Our Mentors
get directly involved in the games the kids play to help create a sense of one with each other.
When you get down to their level and show them that you too were once their age it helps
create a bond and helps them to open up a bit more and be more receptive to the
information we are teaching them. We all know how stubborn we could be as kids when it
comes to listening to teachers or parents. We try our best to introduce an element of shared
interest and camaraderie making the activities more interesting and fun and it helps the
children feel safer and more connected.
Who said competition doesn’t produce positive results?
We at CF Fitness like to incorporate competitive sports and fun activities into one while also
ensuring that the kids #1. Do not feel like they are “working out”, #2. Are gaining the age
appropriate development skills and tools necessary to maintain a healthy lifestyle, and our
favorite here at CF Fitness #3. The kids LOOK FORWARD to participating in the structured
activities that we have set up for them throughout the day!
It only does more to help motivate them to do their best each and every day and gives them
the opportunity to support and cheer on their peers. This often opens the door for the kids to
adapt to being around all of their peers due to the fact that we ensure that ALL of the kids are
included at all times. The helps eliminate the “cliques” and “loner” stereotypes that you often
see and helps each child showcase their individual talents while having fun and shaping
We believe this approach creates a more consistent opportunity for children to develop and
practice positive and healthy habits. Structured and skilled sports are especially important
because they allow the opportunity for learning how to handle both positive and negative
situational outcomes while displaying good sportsmanship.
"We believe that kids are more likely to want to and continue to be fit if they are having fun and doing something they actually enjoy doing."
