Core Art & Creative Learning Experiences
🎨 Art in a Box
Designed to spark personal expression, this hands-on course invites students to explore a variety of art mediums in a supportive, creative space. Each project enhances visual processing, builds confidence, and encourages problem-solving through the use of high-quality tools and materials.

As students explore new techniques and materials, they develop their individual artistic voice. Best of all, they take home their completed projects—tangible reminders of their creativity and growth.
🧠 Dough Creations: Where Art Meets Engineering
This innovative program uses dough as a creative, kid-friendly medium to bridge the worlds of art, science, and engineering. Students begin by sculpting imaginative shapes and characters, building fine motor skills while exploring concepts in math, zoology, and design.

As the course progresses, they’re introduced to real-world STEAM principles through playful, hands-on projects. In one module, students explore chemistry and materials science by constructing models that demonstrate structure and stability. In another, they dive into electrical engineering, using conductive and insulating dough to build working circuits that light up, spin, and make sound.
Throughout the program, students are challenged to think like artists, designers, and inventors, combining creativity with problem-solving to bring their ideas to life. Every student completes the course with a final personalized project—and a sense of wonder at how science and imagination can work hand in hand.
Performing Arts Programs
🎭 Drama & Theater
This energetic program immerses students in the world of performance, where movement, voice, and imagination come together. Through storytelling, games, and roleplay, students learn to communicate emotions, collaborate with others, and step confidently into the spotlight.
Drama builds essential communication skills—fostering empathy, encouraging self-expression, and helping students gain the confidence to share their voice both on stage and in everyday life.
🤹 Improv & Creative Play
Improv teaches students to think fast, listen deeply, and stay present in the moment. With quick-thinking games and interactive scenes, students practice classic techniques like “Yes, and…” while learning to trust their instincts and adapt with confidence.
The skills developed in improv—active listening, storytelling, and creative risk-taking—help students feel more grounded and capable in everyday social and academic settings.
Cultural, Historical & Fine Art Exploration
🗺️ Global Art & Cultural Connections
This multidisciplinary program invites students to explore art through a global lens—where creativity meets culture, history, and innovation. Through hands-on projects, students examine the STEAM principles behind artistic traditions from around the world, sparking both curiosity and critical thinking.
From carving totem poles inspired by the Pacific Northwest to designing vibrant Aztec masks rooted in Mesoamerican heritage, students engage with the stories and symbolism behind each tradition. As they create, they also reflect on the legacy, technique, and meaning that connect communities across time and place—building both artistic skill and cultural appreciation.
🖌️ Famous Artists
This hands-on course introduces students to influential figures in art history—from Georgia O'Keeffe to Pablo Picasso—through an exploration of their distinct styles and celebrated works. Each session focuses on a well-known piece and breaks down the creative choices, cultural context, and techniques that make it iconic.
Students then apply these ideas in their own artwork, reimagining classic styles through a personal lens. Along the way, they gain insight into the materials and methods used by great artists, and develop a deeper appreciation for the evolution of visual art across time and place.
📖 Manga & Visual Storytelling
Students dive into the unique and globally influential Japanese art form of manga. Guided by experienced instructors, young artists learn the fundamentals that make manga so iconic—expressive faces, striking hairstyles, dynamic poses, and compelling character design.

As students build their skills, they begin adding bodies, outfits, backgrounds, and dialogue, transforming individual drawings into full narrative scenes. The course also incorporates lessons on the history and cultural significance of manga, helping students understand its artistic impact worldwide.
Throughout the program, students practice visual storytelling techniques, experiment with panel layout, and develop original characters. The course culminates in a final project: their own original manga story, which students proudly showcase—a true celebration of their creativity, growth, and personal voice.
Hands-On Creative Arts & Design

🌀 Printmaking
Printmaking introduces young artists to a unique art form through engaging, hands-on lessons. This process of transferring images from one surface to another allows students to explore fundamental techniques like marbling and relief printing. As they create community gardens, seaside landscapes, and nature prints, students experiment with various tools and materials. With each project, they experience immediate cause and effect, producing vibrant and dynamic art pieces. Perfect for all ages, this course offers every student the chance to find joy in experimenting with different printmaking techniques!

🖐️ Pottery & Sculpture
Pottery offers a unique outlet for young artists to sculpt their ideas into one-of-a-kind creations, fostering self-expression and building confidence. Students learn to use their hands and sculpting tools to create pottery staples and imaginative projects like pinch pot monsters, pottery pets, and their favorite characters. As they sculpt and paint, they develop transferable artistic skills such as conceptualizing, sketching, and refining their designs. Manipulating clay helps students understand that they can change something with their own hands and influence the outside world.
✂️ Origami & STEAM Integration

Origami takes a modern STEAM spin on traditional paper folding. Students hone their fine motor skills while learning standard folds and turning ordinary objects into extraordinary creations. While making art, students learn about the world through hands-on STEAM activities, like using their paper basketball hoops to conduct experiments about force or their sailboats to discover lines of symmetry. Each finished piece becomes a lesson in precision and patience—artists will go home with the beautiful figures to keep and a sense of artistic achievement.
